Dream One: Endless Aspartame

The beginnings of this "game within a game" has been started.

This will normally happen when Matpat drinks too much soda,

He'll get knocked out and goes into this "dream" of being on a sinking ship.


-Created separate game logic, and ability to switch between them

-Made beginning platformer physics engine from scratch

-Added some water logic, floating, swimming, limited air

-Made logic to make sure player can stand on ship while its sinking

-Wrote song to play during dream


Menus:

-Made some lightly animated splash intro screen

-Created button logic (with some hover and select graphics)

-Added a Prologue selection in menu (currently just dialogue)

-Added a "How To Play" section (just text currently, pending images)

-Button for "Endless Aspartame" Dream sequence

-Button to start main game (Day 1)


Really excited for these new portions of the game. The dream sequence is in early development, but the main bones of the physics are already up. 

Still designing the sinking ship "Alchemy". Kind of a mix between a cruise liner and some cargo elements. While the dream has lots of realistic elements, there will be some fantastical aspects as well.

The graphical style is intended to be "lo-fi" and the colors mostly grayscaled.

The intention is to invite the player to explore the sinking ship, and discover some clues for other things.
